With 2 minutes and 32 seconds remaining in the game, Paolo Hernandez hit a floater to put Mapua ahead by one point, 57-55. Bonifacio’s game-winning jumper with 32.4 seconds remaining pushed their advantage to five points, bringing the score to 60-55 for them.

In the final 27.4 seconds of the game, Maclaude Guadana hit a huge three-pointer for Lyceum, giving them a chance to win the game. However, Pido made some crucial free throws for the Cardinals in their subsequent possession, preserving their victory.

Guadana’s score of 15 points put the Pirates in the lead, but no other Lyceum player scored in the double figures.
