Other members of the trip include coaches Ramos Solis, Richard Pep Agosto, Joe Patrick Diaz, and Julius Irvin Hikaru Naranjo, as well as a sports psychologist named Dr. Karen Katrina Trinidad and a nutritionist named Jeaneth Aro. The delegation is being led by President Monico Puentevella of the Samahang Weightlifting ng Pilipinas organization.

“We have high hopes that Hidilyn and Vanessa, who will be leading the team, will guide them to a successful performance in the World Championships. This is the reason why we did not compete in the Asian Championships; instead, we chose to focus on our objective of qualifying “during an interview on Monday, Puentevella made this statement.

“This world championship serves as a dress rehearsal for the next Olympics in Paris. Where we get to meet the best people the world has to offer. At the same time, we’ll have a better idea of who’s prepared, and our chances of qualifying will go up “said Puentevella, who was honored on June 27 of this year by being inducted into the Hall of Fame of the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF).

Last year in July, the Asian Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championships were held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Sarno earned three gold medals in the Youth 71-kg division, and Ramos brought home three gold medals in the Junior 49-kg division.
